Pontoon Boat Rentals-Destin

Our family rented a pontoon boat years ago next to Destin West bayside.  We had a GREAT time!  I absolutely love pontoon boats.  They are perfect if you want to pack a cooler and just cruz the bay.  They’re also called “party boats” and I can see why.  I love that the bottoms are flat so that you can move around easily which is perfect for little kids or the elderly or, well, anyone!  I hate the boats that have this tiny aisle and everything around me is so bulky I can hardly see the water.  Pontoon boats have low sides making the entire boating experience so much better and downright practical if you ask me.

The place we rented from was expensive and no longer in business.  But a return tenant of mine left me this great bit of info!  He said, “”We rented from Blue Crab rentals. They are located at Harbor Walk. They were the least expensive and were very accommodating.”  www.bluecrabwatersports.com

Thanks Thomas for the feedback!

Also, a return tenant recommended on Okaloosa Island, “We also rented our pontoon from True Blue Pontoon – it’s at the Elks Club just a short walk along the path next to the bay. Rental is $250 1/2 day (5 hours) most others are 4 hours!! www.truebluepontoonboatrentals.com
Thanks! Wendy”

In my opinion, this is a great location to rent a boat.  Okaloosa Island or the Destin harbor are where you want to be. You can head straight to Crab Island and anchor, motor under the Destin Bridge, see dolphin, pull up to the white beach point leading into the ocean in the harbor, or pull up and dock at one of the many restaurants for a bite to eat.  (Also, if you are wondering where The Elks Club is on Okaloosa Island, it’s right next to Destin West Beach and Bay Resort on the bayside just past the Tom Thumb convenience store.)

So what’s YOUR input?   Can anyone recommend a pontoon rental company?

Good luck and happy boating!
